  Movie Plot

  McMurphy has been dating a fifteen year old (fifteen going on thirty-five) and is sentenced for a short term for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Rather than spend his time in jail, he convinces the guards that he's crazy enough to need psychiatric care and is sent to a hospital. He fits in frighteningly well, and his different point of view actually begins to cause some of the patients to progress. Nurse Ratched becomes his personal cross to bear as his resistence to the hospital routine gets on her nerves.

Very good movie!

this movie is undescribable in how powerful, shocking and funny it was!!!! Jacks performance was...........just mesmerizing and perfectly portrayed, the entire movie just gives me goose bumps just thinking about this masterpiece of work!

i am wachit right now as i am typing this one of his gratest moives ever and i have ADHD if do not know what that is look it up.

Just watched the film now.......mental health people were treated dreadfully.......the lobotomy of Jack in the end was really sad.......his acting was brilliant.

I just walked around the grounds of Fairview , the notorious home for feeble minded in Salem, oregon, a couple miles from the hospital used for the film. In 1962 there were 3000 prisoners,er, I mean , patients. It closed down in 2000, laregely due to bad publicity and exposed malpractice.
It felt similar to a concentration camp I visited in Austria .
