My brother and fiance purchased the beautiful home that this movie was partly filmed,
so I would like to get vhs or dvd of movie
I am the motherfucking shorepatrol motherfucker
Great film, this and Five Easy Pieces.
What was the dodgy one with Bruce Dern and bird that was on STP, that was shite
I joined the Navy a few years after this movie was made. The dialog on this film is SPOT On. That's how sailors talk. Jack really breathed life into the character of Badass. Yes I've met several real-life Badass Buddusky's. In fact I used to fold my white hat in the same way Ol' Badass did! (with the wings on the side..) This movie is a real classic and Jack has one of the FINEST performances of his career in this Gem of a movie. Otis Young's performance is first rate as well. His poignant statement to Buddusky that were just a couple of lifers is both sad and true.
Watch this movie, you will be moved and glad that you did.
This is one of my favourite films of all.The dialogue alone gives justice to the saying "they don't write them like that anymore".Superb acting from all 3 principles. From laugh out loud hilarious to genuine sadness, its got everything that we got from movies before Spielberg and that bloody fish came swimming along.Bye bye dialogue - hello special effects !
